Our design and engineering teams will work with your electrical engineer, architect, HVAC, sprinkler, electrical, elevator, and building contractors on everything from CAD design and layout to final approval by fire authorities in order to get the job done correctly.

Our service department provides repair service, testing and inspection in accordance to UL, NFPA, State and Local Codes.

Fire Sprinkler Monitoring

Fire Sprinkler Systems are intended to suppress or extinguish fires. Most municipalities and insurance companies require that fire sprinkler systems be monitored by a U.L. approved monitoring center.

24 hour monitoring is the critical link between our customers and proper authorities. The fire department will be notified in the event of sprinkler activation from a fire or water is flowing due to a failure or break in the sprinkler system. This is extremely important during times when the building is unoccupied.

Our monitoring station will also receive supervisory signals when the supply water vales are turned off. The fire sprinkler system cannot function without water. Monitoring of Fire Pump Running - Most fire pumps when activated, will continue to run until manually shut down. If their activation is inadvertent or unknown, they can run until they destroy themselves. Florida State Security can provide the equipment and installation for complete and economical "Turn Key" Fire Sprinkler Monitoring System.

Testing and Maintenance
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requires that all fire alarm systems be inspected, tested, & maintained periodically in order to ensure a reasonable degree of protection of life & property from fire. In addition, Insurance Companies should reduce your premium rate with routine Annual inspections.

Our professional technicians will inspect the system & provide adequate records as necessary. An "Annual Test" will provide you with preventive maintenance instead of costly major repairs.

Maintenance and Inspection Agreements are required on all new and existing fire alarm systems and to be performed by a U.L. or ELT certified Service Company. Florida State Security can provide full service maintenance and runner service as required by NFPA and Miami-Dade.

U.L. Certification
Florida State Security and our Central Monitoring Station are UL and ELT Listed companies, meaning we can provide U.L. Certification on the fire alarm systems for Fire Marshals that require it, and we also provide monitoring, testing and inspection for U.L. certified systems.
